You can buy monitors for a single teacher, every teacher in a grade, or an entire school or school district.

First, gather the information from teachers who want monitors.

Here’s a sample email to the teachers (or to the principal):

Dear Teachers,

We’d like to buy you a second monitor so that you can put your students on one screen and lesson plans on the other.

If you’re interested, please add your information to this spreadsheet in the next three days. The only tricky part is picking out your video cable, so use these helpful instructions.

Thanks for you all you do!

You can click File | Make a copy in Google Sheets to make your own copy of the sample spreadsheet above.

Next, pick the monitors and video cables.

Monitors: We recommend the following monitors:

23” is a nice size because it’s large enough to see the students but still fits on a standard desk.

Video cables: Next look at your spreadsheet for the video cables the teachers picked. We recommend:

Add the costs to your spreadsheet (including sales tax for your state) so you know how much fundraising you need to do.

We prefer to ship the monitors to the school, so please make sure your school is open can receive packages. Also, uncheck the boxes for weekend delivery on Amazon.

Purchasing the monitors

You can use a variety of tools to collect money from your community like Venmo, PayPal, or GoFundMe.

We recommend purchasing the monitors as a gift for the teachers so that the school district does not have to “asset tag” or inventory the monitors. The teachers also appreciate the gift!

Please note that Amazon has a 5 item limit when you purchase the same type of monitor. You can have multiple people order the monitors from Amazon or you can purchase 5 of each of our monitor recommendations above.
